Role Overview

As a Purchasing Analyst, you will be integral to supporting global manufacturing operations by ensuring timely material availability, overseeing supplier performance, and driving procurement efficiency within a rapidly expanding supply chain. Collaboration with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and cross-functional teams is key to maintaining supply continuity, cost control, and enabling new product launches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track demand and supplier commitments, delivery schedules, and order acknowledgments aligned with production needs.
  • Manage Factory and Contract Manufacturer purchase orders to guarantee materials are available for manufacturing timelines.
  • Work closely with suppliers and contract manufacturers to address shortages, expedite deliveries, and mitigate supply risks.
  • Maintain comprehensive procurement data including pricing calendars, lead times, supplier records, and cost totals.
  • Support inventory management by monitoring supply and demand alignment and identifying shortages.
  • Assist with new product introduction activities by ensuring procurement readiness and onboarding suppliers.
  • Analyze supplier performance metrics and service delivery to foster accountability and continuous improvements.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through pricing analysis, supplier negotiations, and enhancement of procurement processes.
  • Monitor factors affecting material availability such as supplier capacity, allocation, tariffs, and market dynamics.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and manufacturing teams to implement business priorities such as NPI and RFP.
  • Generate detailed reports on material status, procurement performance, and supplier conditions.
  • Escalate supply issues promptly and coordinate multilateral resolution plans to uphold financial and customer commitments.
  • Execute procurement requests into purchase orders using Coupa procurement system.
  • Ensure all procurement actions comply with company policies, procedures, and contractual agreements.
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts to enhance partner efficiency, data integrity, and operational effectiveness.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, Finance, or a closely related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, materials management, or related manufacturing functions.
  • In-depth understanding of supply chain operations including procurement, inventory control, demand planning, and supplier management.
  • Experience collaborating with contract manufacturers and global suppliers within technology, electronics, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong analytical acumen with capacity to interpret data and offer sound recommendations.
  • Working proficiency in ERP and supply chain planning software tools.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and competence in data analysis.
  • Capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities across global and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organizational aptitude, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Prior exposure to new product introduction processes is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with supplier performance management, cost modeling, inventory optimization, and procurement best practices is beneficial.
  • Awareness of global supply chain challenges including allocation management, logistical constraints, and tariffs.
