Sales Assistant - Oldham/Rochdale

Overview

PPG is currently seeking a dedicated Sales Assistant to join our Architectural Coatings division at the Oldham Johnstone’s Decorating Centre. This is a full-time permanent role based in Rochdale, England, tailored for a customer-oriented individual ready to become an integral part of our approachable and supportive team. Prior experience engaging with customers and familiarity with IT systems is preferred but not mandatory, as comprehensive in-store training will be provided.

Key Duties

• Provide courteous and professional service to customers at both the trade counter and in-store
• Complete all necessary training to confidently recommend and select appropriate products, representing our brand positively
• Maintain a clean, well-organized, and visually appealing store environment
• Manage stock processes including receiving deliveries and restocking shelves efficiently

Required Skills and Attributes

• Customer service experience is advantageous
• Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
• Competency in IT systems
• Willingness and flexibility to accommodate varying working hours and responsibilities
• Valid driving license is essential for this position
