Overview
Join the team at PPG's Taubmans Trade Centre in Capalaba as a Sales Assistant, delivering exceptional service and product knowledge to customers beyond just paint supply. This role emphasizes building strong customer relationships and providing expert advice to keep projects progressing seamlessly.
Working Hours and Environment
- Permanent full-time role, 38 hours per week
- Work schedule Monday to Friday, between 6:30am to 4:30pm
- Occasional Saturday shifts from 7:00am to 11:30am
- Location: Capalaba Trade Centre
- Comprehensive product and system training provided

Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome and assist customers with knowledgeable support
- Develop lasting relationships with professional and retail customers
- Mix and tint paint products according to client specifications
- Assist with color matching and recommending suitable products
- Prepare orders for pickup and delivery
- Support deliveries using company vehicle as needed
- Manage inventory levels and maintain store presentation standards
- Assist Store Manager and team in daily operational tasks
- Ensure workplace safety, cleanliness, and organization
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Passionate about customer service and relationship building

- Physically capable with manual handling and standing for extended periods
- Holds a valid driver’s license

Preferred Experience
Relevant backgrounds in retail, customer service, hardware, trade supply, or warehousing are valued but not required. Paint industry experience is not mandatory as full training will be conducted.
