Sales Assistant - Nottingham

Overview

PPG is seeking a dedicated Sales Assistant for a permanent, full-time position at the Nottingham Johnstone’s Decorating Centre, part of our Architectural Coatings division. This role is ideal for an individual with a customer-focused mindset who will join a welcoming and supportive team environment. Prior experience in customer service and familiarity with IT systems are advantageous but not mandatory as comprehensive in-store training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service both at the trade counter and throughout the store in a professional and friendly way.
• Complete all necessary training to confidently recommend suitable products and effectively promote the PPG brand.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and appealing store appearance at all times.
• Manage stock by receiving deliveries and ensuring shelves are consistently well stocked.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in roles involving direct customer interaction is preferred.
• Strong communication abilities coupled with a positive and customer-oriented approach.
• Competency with IT systems to support daily operational tasks.
• Flexibility in working hours and responsibilities to meet business needs.
• A valid driving license is essential for this position.
