Sales Assistant / Driver

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Sales Assistant to join our Architectural Coatings team at the Nottingham Johnstone’s Decorating Centre. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a supportive team environment. While previous experience in customer-facing roles and basic IT skills are advantageous, we provide comprehensive training in-store to equip you.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers professionally and warmly at the trade counter and throughout the store.
• Complete all necessary training to confidently guide customers in selecting the right products and to promote our brand.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-presented store environment.
• Manage stock processes including receiving deliveries and restocking shelves.

Required Skills & Attributes

• Customer service experience is preferable but not mandatory.
• Effective communication skills combined with a positive, customer-focused mindset.
• Basic proficiency with IT systems.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying working hours and responsibilities.
• A valid driving license is essential for this position.
