Job description
About the Role
As a Sales Administrator, you will work closely alongside the business owner and Sales & Marketing Coordinator, gaining firsthand experience in how deals are secured across three distinct technology companies. This newly created position is designed not only to support the sales team but also to foster your growth into a sustainable sales career.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule meetings for the sales team and eventually manage your own calendar
- Prepare accurate and persuasive quotes, proposals, and contracts that convert conversations into finalized business across all three brands
- Proactively follow up with customers through calls, emails, or in-person meetings until receiving clear responses
- Maintain and manage the sales funnel to ensure it is current, organized, and that potential deals do not go cold
- Coordinate events such as customer days and industry functions, managing all stages from initial planning through to teardown
- Offer assistance wherever needed within the sales and marketing departments
Candidate Profile
- Comfortable initiating contact with unfamiliar people and persistently following up to gain clear commitments
- Highly organized with great attention to detail to ensure the precision of quotes and contracts
- Proactive individual who identifies what needs to be done and takes initiative to complete tasks
- Clear and effective communicator both over the phone and in written form
- Genuine interest in understanding how technology drives business operations
- Possession of a full New Zealand driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally to visit clients
- No prior experience in IT or telecommunications required; experience in retail, hospitality, call centers, or reception roles is valued as a foundation for growth
- An advantage if you have some knowledge of technology or have worked for an MSP, telco, ISP, or similar company, but this is not mandatory
About the Company
The opportunity is with three interconnected New Zealand technology businesses based under one roof in Hamilton: PureLink provides wireless, fibre, 4G/5G, SD-WAN, and VoIP connectivity; Cloud Torque manages IT services such as Microsoft 365, Azure, cybersecurity, backup and disaster recovery, and private cloud solutions; InfraLink handles physical infrastructure including structured cabling, rack and stack, and AV installations. Unlike typical providers that offer only one service, these companies provide comprehensive solutions from physical cabling to cloud services, serving customers nationwide and expanding steadily.
