Salaried General Practitioner (GP)

Location and Contract Details

Opportunity based in Haywards Heath, West Sussex with a permanent contract starting October 2026. There are 1–2 positions available.

About the Role

Our established GP practice invites one or two Salaried General Practitioners to join a supportive multidisciplinary primary care team. You'll deliver 15-minute patient appointments, working alongside experienced GPs, nurses, pharmacists, advanced nurse practitioners, and other practice staff members.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, high-quality consultations in General Practice.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage both acute and chronic patient conditions.
• Prescribe medications safely in your role as an Independent Prescriber.
• Formulate and implement suitable treatment and management strategies.
• Refer patients to appropriate secondary and community healthcare services as required.
• Maintain precise clinical records using the SystmOne electronic patient record system.
• Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver coordinated care.
• Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-focused healthcare services.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a General Practitioner qualification.
• Registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and holds a current Licence to Practise.
• Certified as an Independent Prescriber.
• Possesses strong clinical evaluation and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capable of functioning well within a multidisciplinary primary care environment.

Work Environment and Schedule

Appointments are typically 15 minutes long using the SystmOne system. Working hours commence at 8:00 AM and can extend up to 6:30 PM when covering duty periods.
