Safety Supervisor

Overview

The Safety Supervisor assists the Senior Safety Coordinator in executing site safety inspections ensuring adherence to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) practices and relevant statutory regulations. This position involves overseeing safety protocol enforcement, inspecting sites for compliance, and aiding the development of corrective measures for any identified hazards. The role requires collaboration with workers and management to promote a safe workplace and reduce chances of accidents or incidents.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, control, and monitor daily project activities, directives, and progress.
• Maintain a safe working environment at the site.
• Track and evaluate the progress and quality of operational work.
• Liaise closely with consultants and subcontractors.
• Supervise construction activities and coordinate site operations to meet scheduled completion dates.
• Participate in regular meetings with owners, clients, and contractors to discuss project-related topics.
• Ensure all work complies with the Project Quality & Safety Plan, contractual obligations, drawings, and specifications.
• Develop and keep detailed documentation relating to the project.
• Monitor site resources to guarantee adequacy, availability, and performance align with the project timeline.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the company.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Diploma or equivalent qualification in any discipline.
• Sound understanding of the Workplace Safety and Health Act and relevant statutory requirements.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with employees, management, and regulatory bodies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to recognize and mitigate safety hazards.
• Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Demonstrated dedication to maintaining safety standards.
