Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Safety Officer based on site in Guwahati, Assam. This role involves managing daily safety functions, ensuring compliance with health and safety mandates, and performing frequent inspections of facilities, vehicles, and equipment. The Safety Officer will identify hazards, lead investigations into incidents including root cause analysis, maintain comprehensive safety records, and prepare detailed reports for leadership.

Key duties also include designing and delivering safety training programs tailor-made for various teams, encouraging safe work protocols, and working closely with operational units to enforce corrective measures. Collaboration with security teams is also essential to maintain a secure logistics environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety and Occupational Health regulations.
• Proven experience in accident investigation and root cause analysis with corrective planning.
• Understanding of security procedures relevant to logistics or warehousing.
• Competency in creating and conducting effective safety training sessions.
• Possession of relevant certifications or diplomas in occupational health and safety or connected fields.
• Awareness of applicable local and national safety laws for logistics operations.
• Strong communication skills paired with keen observation and thorough reporting capabilities.
• Willingness and ability to work on-site in Guwahati and engage with cross-department teams.
