Safety Officer

Overview

As a Safety Officer under the guidance of the Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in executing and enhancing the safety management system onsite. Your efforts will ensure strict adherence to environmental, health, and safety protocols in line with both regulatory and corporate standards.

Key Accountabilities

• Implement, oversee, and continuously improve site safety management processes.
• Collaborate with management on safety-related issues and initiatives.
• Conduct regular inspections and internal audits to confirm compliance with EHS policies and relevant regulations.
• Lead proactive investigations into incidents, devise control measures, and ensure prompt and accurate incident reporting.
• Manage all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) operations and enforce related company policies, rules, and procedures effectively.
• Maintain proper documentation, reporting, and communication channels concerning HSE activities and requirements.
• Ensure Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) practices align with ISO standards.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentation materials for management updates.

Requirements

• Possess a Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) or its equivalent.
• Hold a valid Ministry of Manpower (MOM) Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) license.
• Bring at least three years of experience in a similar role, preferably involving Land Transport Authority (LTA) projects.
• Demonstrate expertise in civil road construction projects and heavy lifting safety management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with digital tools such as Google Forms.
