Role Overview

The Safety Officer position stationed in Nashik entails a full-time, on-premise responsibility to foster and uphold a safe working atmosphere throughout plant operations. Key duties include inspecting workplace conditions regularly, enforcing adherence to health, safety, and security protocols, and orchestrating safety training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine safety inspections and monitor workplace environments to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Organize and facilitate safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs tailored for diverse teams.
• Investigate accidents and incidents thoroughly to identify root causes and prepare detailed reports including preventive and corrective measures.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and management to implement safety strategies and update safety policies in accordance with regulations.
• Support emergency preparedness activities and coordinate response protocols as necessary.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices applicable to industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health standards, workplace hazard identification, and conducting risk assessments.
• Proficiency in accident investigation, incident reporting, and root cause analysis to drive corrective action plans.
• Familiarity with security procedures in industrial facilities, including access control and emergency response coordination.
• Capability to design and execute effective safety training and awareness programs.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Safety Management, Engineering, Occupational Health, or a related field; holding professional safety certifications is a plus.
• Strong communication and documentation skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively on-site.
• Awareness of local statutory health, safety, and environmental compliance standards pertinent to manufacturing operations.
