Role Overview
This full-time, on-site Safety Officer position is based in Patna, Bihar. The role involves overseeing daily construction site activities to ensure full compliance with established safety protocols, conducting frequent site inspections, and proactively identifying potential risks. Key activities include enforcing safety policies, leading safety meetings and toolbox talks, ensuring proper usage of personal protective equipment by site personnel, maintaining detailed safety logs and incident reports, coordinating with site management to correct any safety violations, and driving continuous enhancements to safety procedures throughout the project.
Qualifications and Skills
- In-depth understanding of construction site safety practices, hazard identification methods, and risk evaluation techniques.
- Competency in preparing, updating, and managing safety documentation, incident records, and compliance files.
- Experience in organizing and delivering safety training sessions, awareness programs, and briefings to diverse workforce groups.
- Familiarity with relevant governmental safety regulations, standards, and emergency preparedness procedures.
- Preferably holds a diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Civil Engineering, or an allied discipline.
- Previous experience working in construction or real estate project safety is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, keen observational ability, and problem-solving aptitude to collaborate effectively on-site.
- Holding certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent safety qualifications is a plus.
