Rooms Preventative Maintenance Painter

Job Overview

This role entails performing scheduled preventative upkeep within guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public areas. Core duties include mattress flipping and inspection, box spring handling, bed frame assembly, vacuuming under and behind furniture, spot-cleaning carpets and upholstery, dusting, applying touch-up painting and furniture repairs, ensuring hardware and appliances are functional, replacing light fixtures, and maintaining grout and caulking. General minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls are also expected, alongside comprehensive cleaning of tubs, wall tiles, hard floors, walls, windows, and mirrors.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance tasks across various hotel spaces following property standards.
• Address minor repairs promptly to maintain room functionality and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness of guestroom surfaces and fixtures to established quality standards.
• Report significant maintenance concerns or safety hazards immediately to supervisors.
• Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training.
• Uphold company policies including appearance standards and confidentiality of information.
• Greet and engage guests professionally, anticipating their service needs.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve shared objectives.
• Demonstrate physical capability to reach overhead and below the knees, lift and move objects up to 50 pounds independently, and assist with heavier items.
• Perform standing, sitting, or walking activities for an entire shift as required.
• Support additional reasonable assignments as needed by management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Experience: Less than one year of related work experience preferred.
• Supervision: No leadership or supervisory experience required.
• Licenses/Certifications: None necessary.
