Room Attendant

Overview

This role requires proficiency in English and 1 to 2 years of experience. The work is performed on-site in a rural hotel, motel, or resort environment with a non-smoking policy.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floor surfaces.
• Dust and clean furniture surfaces.
• Vacuum carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
• Make beds and change linens regularly.
• Distribute clean towels and toiletries to rooms.
• Maintain and stock the linen closet adequately.
• Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
• Sanitize operating rooms and other specified areas.
• Handle, report, and manage lost and found items properly.
• Respond to guest requests for additional supplies or other needs.
• Collect debris and empty waste containers throughout the facility.
• Perform laundering of clothing and household linens.
• Carry out light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including washing windows, walls, ceilings, changing rooms, and showers.

Qualifications and Credentials

• Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) certificate required.

Additional Information

• References are mandatory to ensure security and safety.
• Own transportation and vehicle are necessary.

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Capability to work autonomously.
• Fast-paced work environment under pressure with strict deadlines.
• Perform repetitive tasks including bending, crouching, kneeling, standing for long durations, and walking.
• Physically demanding work with the ability to handle loads up to 23 kilograms (50 pounds).
• Strong attention to detail is essential.
