About the Role

WPS is seeking a dedicated and proficient Roofer to expand their Property Services team, focusing on Lambeth and nearby areas in South London. The role involves executing prompt and top-quality repairs, maintenance, and roofing tasks on residential properties to ensure they remain secure, weather-resistant, and safe for occupants.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive roofing repairs and upkeep on domestic buildings.
• Identify roofing faults and recommend the most efficient repair methods.
• Work proficiently with various roofing types including pitched and flat roofs that use tiles, slates, felt, and related roofing materials.
• Maintain or replace rainwater management components including gutters, fascias, and soffits.
• Execute tasks safely, effectively, and maintaining high craftsmanship standards.
• Provide outstanding service to residents while working in their homes.
• Maintain detailed and accurate job records through handheld devices.
• Comply rigorously with all health and safety regulations and company policies.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrable experience as a roofer, particularly within social housing, property maintenance, or construction sectors.
• Thorough knowledge of pitched and flat roofing systems, tiling, slating, leadwork, and rainwater goods like guttering, fascias, and soffits.
• Ability to independently diagnose and address roofing faults.
• Effective communication and customer service capabilities.
• Must hold a valid UK driving licence.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Roofing Occupations or similar qualifications.
• Experience working in social housing environments.
• Health and Safety certifications, with CSCS card being advantageous.
