Job Summary
This role involves installing and repairing various roofing systems at multiple physical locations. The candidate will utilize diverse materials and techniques to complete roofing projects effectively.
Languages
Proficiency in English is required.
Educational Background
- Completion of secondary (high) school diploma or equivalent experience is mandatory.
Experience Requirements
A minimum of 2 years and less than 3 years of experience in roofing is necessary.
Work Environment
- All tasks are to be conducted onsite at various locations; remote work is not available.
- The job involves physical tasks such as bending, crouching, and kneeling, requiring good hand-eye coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Install built-up roofing systems using materials like asphalt saturated felts, hot asphalt, and gravel.
- Apply or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
- Install roofing tiles specifically designed for sloped roofs.
- Set up single-ply roofing systems employing waterproof sheet materials, including modified plastics and elastomeric or other asphalt-based compositions.
- Conduct repairs or replacements of shingles and shakes on sloped roofs.
- Maintain and repair various roofing systems as required.
- Install and repair metal roofing utilizing both hand and power tools.
