Overview

This position involves working onsite at various locations with duties centered on installing and repairing different roofing systems. The role requires physical endurance and the ability to work outdoors and at heights.

Education

• Completion of secondary (high) school education.

Experience

Applicants should have between 7 months and less than 1 year of relevant experience.

Primary Responsibilities

• Install built-up roofing systems utilizing materials such as asphalt-saturated felts, hot asphalt, and gravel.
• Place roofing tiles on sloped building roofs.
• Apply single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheets including modified plastics, elastomeric, or asphaltic compositions.
• Coat concrete or masonry surfaces above or below ground level with waterproof materials.
• Install and repair metal roofs employing both hand and power tools.
• Install sheet metal flashings to secure roofing components.
• Estimate material costs and quantities required for roofing projects.
• Set up scaffolding, falsework, and other necessary working platforms.
