About the Role
Transport for NSW is seeking a dedicated Roadworker based in Jindabyne to contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of road infrastructure throughout regional New South Wales. This permanent full-time position involves hands-on construction and upkeep tasks crucial for ensuring the safety and reliability of local roads.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute road construction, snow clearing, and general maintenance works across the road network.
- Maintain and upgrade road pavements, drainage systems, road furniture, and signage.
- Assist in the building of new and improved road infrastructure.
- Operate safely within an outdoor working environment as a collaborative team member.
- Participate in snow clearing activities during winter, including call-outs and weekend duties as needed.

Candidate Profile

Experience in road construction or laboring is advantageous but not mandatory; commitment and the right attitude are valued most.
Essential Requirements
- Current Construction Industry White Card certification.
- A valid Class C Driver License (minimum P1 level).
- Capability and willingness to acquire Traffic Controller accreditation within three months of starting.
- Residency within 100 km driving distance from Jindabyne Works Depot.
- Ability to work safely in high-speed, high-traffic environments.
- Willingness to work outside standard hours, attend emergency call-outs, travel within the district, and stay away from home when necessary.
