About the Role
A reputable CMA-regulated investment firm in Riyadh is seeking a Risk Officer to join their growing team. Reporting to the Head of Risk Management, this role provides a unique chance for an early-career risk professional to gain comprehensive exposure across various risk domains including investment funds, counterparty risk evaluations, enterprise risk management, governance, and regulatory reporting within a dynamic investment environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and support the firm's risk management framework and daily risk operations.
- Perform periodic risk evaluations and assist with Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA).
- Maintain detailed risk registers, profiles, and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
- Contribute to the assessment of fund investments and counterparty risk analysis.
- Develop risk reports, presentations, and documentation for the Risk Committee and senior leaders.
- Support compliance with regulatory and internal risk reporting obligations.
- Help coordinate business continuity plans and risk mitigation strategies.
- Promote a culture of risk awareness and assist in embedding risk management best practices throughout the organization.
Qualifications and Experience
- 2 to 3 years of practical experience in risk management, operational risk, or related areas.
- Background working within a CMA-licensed investment company, asset management firm, capital market institution, investment bank, or similar financial entity.
- Experience or familiarity with investment funds, asset management, investment products, or counterparty risk assessment is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment techniques, risk governance frameworks, risk reporting, and KPIs such as KRIs.
- Understanding of RCSA processes and enterprise risk management practices.
- Mandatory CME certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, Economics, or related discipline.
