Risk Mathematician

Overview

The Risk Mathematician plays a critical role in maintaining fair, secure, and mathematically robust gameplay within Live Casino products. This position involves validating game mechanics, pinpointing potential vulnerabilities or exploits, and aiding in crafting safe and captivating gaming experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate suspicious betting behaviors to detect anomalies
• Oversee functionality and reliability of gaming equipment such as roulettes, dice, and random number generators (RNGs)
• Authenticate mathematical models and files for both current and newly developed Live Casino games
• Identify and measure risks inherent in Live Casino offerings
• Develop automated Tableau reports to facilitate routine verification processes
• Propose innovative game concepts and suggest enhancements
• Work closely with Risk and Surveillance departments
• Provide daily status reports to the immediate supervisor

Candidate Requirements

• University degree in a relevant field
• Strong grasp of probability, statistics, and mathematical principles applicable to game risk evaluation
• At least three years of applicable professional experience
• Advanced competency in Python programming
• Excellent mathematical, statistical, and analytical abilities
• Proficient in Tableau report generation
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VBA macros
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, Julia, or Matlab
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Aptitude for clearly articulating complex technical information
• Effective communication, meticulous attention to detail, and strong organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Live Casino or online gaming industry
• Understanding of common gaming exploit methods including bots and RNG manipulation
• Familiarity with gambling industry regulations
• Experience with risk evaluation specific to casino games
