Rigging & Lifting Supervisor

Job Overview

QatarEnergy LNG is recruiting for the position of Rigging & Lifting Supervisor based in Qatar at Ras Laffan, Al Khor, and Al Thakhira. A recruitment drive will take place in India in late 2026. Only candidates shortlisted for the role will be invited for in-person interviews; walk-ins will not be accepted.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the rigging and lifting operations ensuring optimal safety and quality to support onshore and offshore facilities.
• Optimize resource utilization while supervising rigging and lifting activities and ensure compliance with QA/QC standards.
• Guarantee all rigging and lifting activities conform to company standards, codes, and specifications.
• Ensure certification validity, maintenance, and proper storage of rigging tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with the garage team to implement timely preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on company-owned equipment.
• Arrange additional manpower and equipment sourcing externally during emergencies, while supporting and evaluating long-term contractors.
• Review and authorize non-routine lifting plans from company and external contractors.
• Monitor and ensure rigging and lifting activities align with biweekly schedules.
• Facilitate effective toolbox talks and verify Job Safety Analysis documentation for all activities.
• Support incident investigations, recommend corrective measures, and ensure adherence to improvements.
• Oversee maintenance and availability of all EOT cranes and plant elevators for maintenance operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering.
• Hold an approved third-party certification as a Rigging Supervisor.
• Have at least 8 years of experience in maintenance within the oil & gas or petrochemical sectors.
• Familiarity with lifting procedures and applicable codes.

Technical and Professional Skills

• Proficient in both written and spoken English.
• Computer literate with competency in MS Office and SAP software.
• Ability to conduct Toolbox Talks and Hazard Identifications effectively.
