Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Ride-On Mower Operator to become part of our Streetscapes Mowing team, responsible for the upkeep of Auckland's parks, berms, road verges, and other public open areas. This role focuses on passive mowing rather than sports field maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial ride-on mowers with safety and efficiency.
- Perform mowing, trimming, edging, and general grounds upkeep tasks.
- Provide assistance with basic gardening and landscaping duties as needed.
- Conduct daily inspections and maintenance checks of machinery, including cleaning and reporting any faults.
- Collaborate within a supportive team environment delivering high-quality open space services.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate enjoys outdoor work, maintains pride in achieving a clean finish, and is prepared to work regardless of weather conditions.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience operating commercial ride-on mowers.
- Familiarity with passive turf and open space mowing techniques.
- Possession of a full New Zealand driver’s license with confidence driving manual vehicles.
- Good physical fitness, reliability, and a strong commitment to hard work.
- Positive mindset and the ability to work well within a team.
