Role Overview
As an RF Specialist based in Alice Springs, Australia, you will analyze radar emissions, communication signals, and other electronic data to uncover and evaluate foreign electronic capabilities. Utilizing advanced data processing tools, you will collect, interpret, and analyze electronic RF data to generate insights into potential threats and strategic developments. Your work will involve compiling comprehensive reports and delivering briefings that communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
Collaboration and Innovation
You will partner with professional peers, military personnel, and government agencies to facilitate information sharing and support combined operations. You will stay informed on advancements in electronic systems and RF data processing technologies, contributing to the development of novel analytical tools and methodologies to enhance operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed analysis of electronic RF data and prepare reports for customer presentation
- Collaborate with military and government stakeholders to support joint operational efforts
- Monitor and integrate new electronic systems and RF technology advancements to improve capabilities
- Communicate with operations managers, operators, and analysts, employing the latest technological tools to address operational needs and strategic goals
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a US TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or Australian Public Affairs clearance
- Minimum of 4 years experience in ground station operations
- Expertise with RF data requirements and compliance policies
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within large operational environments
- Capability to support continuous 24/7 operational demands
- Ability to obtain necessary medical and psychological clearances promptly
- Bachelor’s degree plus at least 2 years of experience in digital RF operations and processing, or alternatively, 4 years of relevant experience without a degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing RF technical tasks in ground station operations
- Familiarity with specialized tools for tasking, operations, exploitation, analysis, and mapping
- Skill in identifying system errors and proposing enhancements
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Completion of relevant analysis courses (2810, 3810, 450, or 451)
