Job description
Overview
The Revenue Operations Lead role involves shaping the commercial organization's revenue systems and processes to operate as a unified system rather than fragmented teams. This strategic leadership position entails owning the foundational infrastructure behind revenue, including systems, processes, data governance, and deal support to ensure that agreements signed are aligned with business objectives.
At finera., this is an inaugural position reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer and working collaboratively with Sales and Account Management as equals while serving both departments equally. The role requires establishing and defining the Revenue Operations function from its genesis.
Success Metrics
- Within the first six months, the organization will have a unified funnel definition, a single forecast, and enforce data standards at entry points instead of post-entry cleanup.
- Within twelve months, the CRO will have clear visibility on the origin of all revenue units, pricing will comply with a published framework, contracts will be generated via the system, and the Revenue Operations team will expand to three members.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and management of the commercial Salesforce system including data models, sharing rules, record types, validation, and integration plans.
- Incorporate data and usage metrics from Tableau into Salesforce to establish commercial ownership of the system.
- Create and enforce a singular funnel definition and workflow between Sales and Account Management through system gates rather than meetings.
- Maintain the Rules of Engagement handbook and service level agreements with Legal, Finance, and Support, with quarterly reviews.
- Develop and uphold a single source of truth for commercial data, forecast methodologies, forecast accuracy, and the commercial scorecard.
- Build and manage a deal desk with Finance focusing on margin floors, approval levels, pricing thresholds, and a pricing simulator reflecting true costs.
- Implement contract generation and e-signature processes within Salesforce, along with pricing alert features and detailed audit trails on pricing decisions.
- Recruit and lead a Salesforce specialist and a data/reporting analyst to execute phased commercial operating plans and manage KPIs.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum six years in Revenue, Sales or Commercial Operations with at least two years managing or owning the function in a comparably complex business.
- Proven experience as a Salesforce system owner or architect, including data and sharing model design, validation rules, record types, and integrations (administrator or power-user experience alone is insufficient).
- Proven ability to standardize funnel and forecast methodologies across multiple commercial functions and enforce adherence at senior levels.
- Experience initiating or managing deal desks, pricing governance frameworks, or commercial approval processes in collaboration with Finance.
- Comfortable working across multiple entities or legal jurisdictions with regular coordination with Legal, Finance, and Compliance teams.
- Strong skills in Salesforce architecture, well-versed with a BI system such as Tableau, and knowledgeable in data engineering concepts.
- Competent in process design and enforcement, capable of instituting rules within systems and maintaining compliance without hindering commercial operations.
- Strong commercial numeracy including P&L understanding, costing, margin control, and pricing to effectively partner with Finance.
- Exceptional ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority, promoting standardization through evidence and usability rather than hierarchy.
- A bias toward rapid execution, focusing on building and shipping solutions within weeks rather than prolonged advisory phases.
Preferred Experience
- Background in payments, fintech, or iGaming domains with knowledge of acquiring, alternative payment methods, approval rates, settlements, and rolling reserves.
- Experience establishing a Revenue Operations function from the ground up and/or managing commercial scaling or relocation projects to hubs like Dubai.
Benefits
- Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and market standards.
- Medical insurance coverage starting immediately from first day of employment.
- Access to resources and opportunities for professional development and training.
- Well-equipped office environment with complimentary snacks, beverages, and refreshments.
- Opportunity to work within a diverse, collaborative multinational company culture.
- Participation in team-building events and activities that strengthen interdepartmental collaboration.
- An Employee Recognition Program including monthly accolades and perks.
