Job description

Overview

The Revenue Executive plays a vital role in driving the hotel's revenue goals by managing inventory, analyzing data trends, and developing pricing and segmentation tactics informed by future demand forecasts and historical figures. Collaboration with internal teams, particularly Sales and Marketing, is essential to aligning revenue management tasks and maximizing overall performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of selling strategies aimed at optimizing occupancy rates, room revenue, and revenue per available room (RevPAR).
  • Manage room authorizations, rate settings, and restrictions using property management system tools.
  • Use business intelligence and planning strategies to proactively identify opportunities to meet or surpass revenue targets.
  • Analyze market demand and hotel performance trends, sharing insights with internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor transient and group business trends over short and mid-term periods, then forecast, price, and report on daily, weekly, monthly, and annual hotel revenue performance.
  • Conduct competitor benchmarking and industry trend evaluations to recommend strategies that maintain competitive advantage.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources to inform revenue management decision-making.
  • Maintain and update reports to detect purchasing patterns and special events that can boost revenue and optimize segmentation.
  • Assess the performance of distribution partners and negotiated rates to ensure effectiveness.
  • Assist with rate loading, configuration, case logging, and any additional assigned responsibilities.
  • Conduct routine audits to ensure brand content and third-party website information remain current and accurate.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent qualification.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in revenue management or a related sector.
  • Strong analytical abilities combined with keen attention to detail.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, capable of working both independently and collaboratively within teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, along with interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and hotel revenue management software systems.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and distribution channels considered advantageous.
