Position Overview
Compass Group New Zealand is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Retail Supervisor to join our Middlemore Hospital Staff Café team. This permanent full-time position guarantees 40 hours per week and offers a competitive hourly wage along with company benefits. Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service to café patrons and hospital staff.
- Prepare and present food items maintaining high quality standards.
- Craft barista-style coffee and a range of hot drinks professionally.
- Handle cash transactions and operate point-of-sale systems accurately.
- Uphold stringent food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness protocols.
- Support daily cleaning tasks and overall café operational duties.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in retail, hospitality, café, or customer service settings is preferred.
- Possession of Food Safety Unit Standard 167 qualification or a willingness to obtain it.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service focus.
- Positive, reliable, and friendly demeanor complemented by a robust work ethic.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Dedicated to maintaining food safety and workplace health and safety standards.
