Retail Merchandiser

Position Overview

This permanent full-time role based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan involves managing merchandising activities to ensure products are effectively displayed and stocked across various retail outlets. The work environment is fast-paced, demanding both physical endurance and attention to operational details.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrange merchandise following specific planograms to optimize product display.
• Initiate and maintain communication with suppliers to ensure product availability.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet store requirements.
• Supervise distribution of goods to various retail locations.
• Deliver excellent customer service to support sales and client satisfaction.
• Assess store needs to determine the appropriate quantity and variety of merchandise to procure.
• Make purchasing decisions for products intended for resale.

Technical and Transportation Requirements

• Proficiency navigating the internet and using Microsoft Outlook for communication.
• Possession of personal transportation, including a valid driver’s license and a vehicle, with readiness to travel as needed.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Operate effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-driven retail environment.
• Perform repetitive tasks involving handling heavy loads and standing for prolonged periods with a mix of sitting, standing, and walking activities.
• Maintain vigilance and accuracy in task execution with attentive detail orientation.
