About the Role and Company

Join the Briscoe Group in Queenstown as a Retail Manager, leading daily retail operations across both Briscoes and Rebel Sport stores. This full-time position, working Sunday to Thursday with two consecutive days off, offers a leadership role within an iconic New Zealand brand with extensive opportunities for both personal and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Directly manage, coach, and motivate a team to maintain high performance through effective scheduling and training.
• Drive strong sales and exceptional customer service by utilizing the sales & service program and taking accountability for store outcomes.
• Maintain and enforce loss prevention policies and compliance with company protocols, while identifying areas for improvement.
• Actively lead on the shop floor by setting an example, giving constructive feedback, and encouraging team development.
• Champion health and safety by adhering to policies, engaging in safety activities, and fostering a positive safety culture within the store.
• Oversee inventory control and management to ensure accuracy and integrity.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership experience in retail, preferably in high-volume or big-box environments.
• Passion for the retail sector and strong ambition to advance a career in retail management.
• Proven ability to lead and develop retail staff effectively.
• Excellent creative, strategic, analytical, and organizational capabilities.
• Strong business insight paired with outstanding communication skills.
• Self-driven, autonomous, yet cooperative team player.
• Capable of staying calm under pressure and adept at problem-solving.
• Reliability and trustworthiness.
• Skilled at multitasking while maintaining a broad perspective.
• Flexible availability for rostered shifts, including weekends and evenings.
