Role Overview

We seek a motivated Retail Consultant to become part of our store team. This role is focused on delivering exceptional personalized customer service by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable products. The consultant is accountable for achieving sales goals along with store performance indicators such as conversion rates, customer service metrics, and average order value.

Key Duties

  • Identify customer needs and suggest matching products
  • Stay informed about product features and benefits to provide accurate advice
  • Promote additional and complementary products, and inform about current sales and promotions
  • Consistently deliver outstanding customer service
  • Exemplify company values in every customer interaction
  • Maintain store presentation according to visual merchandising standards
  • Address, resolve, or escalate customer issues promptly and appropriately

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates love retail and understand the importance of the customer journey, successfully translating customer visions into reality. They are team players who pursue and exceed sales targets with a proactive approach and integrity.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum two years retail experience, preferably in home or lifestyle products
  • Ability to engage customers and help them realize their home styling aspirations
  • Strong sales drive with confidence to surpass targets
  • Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency
  • Capability to manage both customer service and administrative responsibilities
  • Interest in home styling, furniture, or creating welcoming living spaces is advantageous

  • Physical ability to regularly lift, carry, and move items of varying sizes as required for the role
  • Legal work authorization for New Zealand (citizen, resident, or valid visa holder)
  • Availability to work Friday 8:45am–5:15pm and Sunday 9:45am–5:15pm
