Role Overview
As a Restaurant Team Member, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service to our guests, serving meals throughout their stay, and ensuring dining areas are impeccably maintained. Daily tasks include setting and clearing tables, polishing cutlery, crockery, and glassware, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. You'll need to thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic setting and develop comprehensive knowledge of the resort’s offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver friendly and efficient service to guests during breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Prepare tables for service, clear away used settings, and reset for upcoming meals.
- Keep cutlery, crockery, and glassware polished and presentable at all times.
- Work in a high-energy role that requires adaptability and attentiveness.
- Acquire and apply knowledge on dietary needs and allergen information through training sessions.
- Establish rapport with guests to enhance their dining experience and overall stay.
- Maintain a tidy and organized workstation, paying close attention to detail.
- Collaborate with team members respectfully to ensure smooth and exceptional service for guests.
- Participate in all necessary training to continuously improve abilities and service quality.
Working Hours & Schedule
- Full-time position: 40 hours weekly.
- Work schedule includes five days out of seven, covering weekends and public holidays.
- The role requires split shifts to cover breakfast (7:45am–11:30am), lunch (12:15pm–3:00pm), and dinner (6:15pm–10:00pm).
Compensation
- Hourly wage: £12.71 for individuals over 21 years old.
- Hourly wage: £10.85 for individuals aged 18 to 20.
Preferred Qualifications and Attributes
- Previous experience in waiting or hospitality roles is advantageous but not essential.
- Natural ability to connect with guests and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Understanding of dietary and allergen considerations to assist guests effectively.
- Strong team player who values respect and positive working relationships with colleagues.
- Attention to detail ensuring cleanliness and orderliness at workstations.
- Commitment to engaging in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
