We are currently recruiting for our Abu Dhabi opening team, seeking a Restaurant Supervisor seasoned in premium dining with a passion for exceptional food, wine, and guest care.
Job Overview
As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will assist the Restaurant Manager in managing daily restaurant activities to uphold exceptional standards of service, guest satisfaction, food and beverage expertise, and staff performance. The role demands a confident leader adept at overseeing a busy, upscale dining setting, coaching team members, addressing guest issues, and maintaining consistent service quality throughout your shift. Possession of at least a WSET Level 2 certification is required, with Level 3 being advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Support daily restaurant operations and ensure a smooth service flow in cooperation with management.
- Supervise staff and maintain excellent service standards on assigned shifts.
- Ensure adherence to all opening, service, and closing protocols.
- Monitor table management, reservation coordination, and guest requirements attentively.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and host teams to deliver seamless guest experiences.
- Uphold brand and operational standards consistently throughout the restaurant.
- Provide warm, professional, and tailored guest interactions, anticipating needs and managing feedback effectively.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu items, beverage selections, and promotions to accurately guide guests.
- Demonstrate expertise in wine and beverage pairings, aiding in recommendations and service compliance.
- Lead, inspire, and train the service team, facilitating pre-shift briefings and ongoing development.
- Monitor quality assurance, safety, and compliance with company standards, reporting issues promptly to management.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in food and beverage, ideally within premium or fine dining establishments.
- Previous roles as a Restaurant Supervisor, Senior Captain, or comparable floor leadership experience.
- Mandatory WSET Level 2 certification; Level 3 certification preferred.
- Deep knowledge of wines, food pairings, and beverage service standards.
- Strong communication skills paired with excellent guest service capabilities.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
- Detail-oriented with a dedication to service excellence.
- Experience engaging with international guests and diverse teams favored.
- Proficiency in Arabic or Russian language is a plus.
