Role Overview

The Resource Planning Specialist will be responsible for the strategic allocation of organizational resources—manpower, materials, and budgets—ensuring effective utilization to support operational goals. This role requires collaborating with various departments, analyzing resource data, and contributing to productivity improvements and strategic resource management.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Human Resources to identify staffing shortages and advise on budgeting, recruitment, and training-related decisions.
• Assist management with workforce analysis to determine current and future manpower requirements aligned with operational necessities.
• Offer data-driven insights to improve manpower distribution across departments.
• Analyze resource utilization data to identify inefficiencies and suggest enhancements.
• Develop and maintain performance dashboards tracking manpower utilization, costs, and project statuses.
• Provide leadership with actionable insights based on data pattern analysis.
• Support resource forecasting ensuring alignment between demand and supply.
• Identify and report potential risks related to resource scarcity or misallocation.
• Devise contingency plans to mitigate unforeseen resource challenges.
• Engage Heads of Departments to assess resource needs and maximize manpower and material efficiency.
• Adjust resource plans in response to changing priorities and workload variations including peak seasons.
• Contribute to long-term resource planning and process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and minimize wastage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective resource management tools and systems.
• Serve as a liaison to ensure clear communication and fulfillment of resource needs among departments.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships to facilitate effective planning and resource strategy execution.
• Carry out additional assigned duties as directed by the Head of Department.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience in resource planning, workforce optimization, operational analytics, data analytics, or HR-related functions.
• Experience working with Resource Management Solutions (RMS) or similar analytical tools.
• Certification in project management such as CAPM or PMP is preferred.
• Proven experience in analyzing and forecasting resource demand across multiple teams and departments.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data and insights effectively.
• Competency in managing numerous departmental resource requirements accurately.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and recommend actionable solutions.
• Familiarity with workforce management software and productivity enhancement tools.
