About the Role
Donovan Air, Electric, and Plumbing is inviting skilled residential electricians to join a passionate team dedicated to excellent customer service. The role involves handling a variety of electrical assignments including troubleshooting, repairs, service upgrades, and payment collection while ensuring top-notch customer engagement at all times. Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve electrical issues promptly and accurately.
- Conduct electrical repairs adhering to National Electrical Code requirements and quality expectations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at job sites to enhance customer loyalty.
- Advise customers on suitable upgrades and complete them immediately or schedule accordingly.
- Communicate proactively with homeowners regarding their HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems.
- Understand pricing policies, create accurate invoices on-site, and process credit card payments electronically.
- Estimate repair and project costs precisely.
- Document completed work with before and after photographs.
- Keep effective communication with customers and colleagues.
- Ensure the company vehicle is clean, stocked, and ready.
- Manage inventory of tools, parts, and safety equipment efficiently.
- Coordinate with dispatch to maintain schedules and inform customers about delays.
- Uphold safe working practices throughout all tasks.
- Participate in ongoing training related to customer service and advancements in industry technology.
- Mentor apprentices and provide coaching.
Requirements
- Minimum two years of experience in residential electrical work including wiring, repairs, and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, running conduits, wiring devices, testing for quality control, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Knowledgeable about installation of electrical systems in new and existing residential environments.
- Familiarity with local city electrical codes.
- Ability to maintain a positive company image through professionalism and integrity.
- Capable of performing physically demanding activities daily.
- Detail-oriented with strong time management skills and results-driven attitude.
- Able to lift and move at least 75 pounds independently, operate safely on ladders and roofs.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and at heights.
- Maintain a neat personal appearance and clean work attire.
- Ability to work autonomously and ensure high-quality completion of tasks.
- Comfortably work in confined spaces such as attics, crawl spaces, garages, and on roofs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
