Role Overview

The Resident Physician is responsible for delivering thorough patient care within their clinical specialty, working under the guidance of specialist physicians. This position is vital for providing compassionate, safe, and high-quality medical services across various care settings. Being part of a multidisciplinary team, the Resident Physician supports clinical excellence, helps deploy novel care delivery approaches, and aids in service expansion within community healthcare models.

Key Clinical Duties

• Exhibit active clinical competence within the chosen medical discipline by adhering to continuous practice standards based on recent three years' experience.
• Provide exceptional patient care while adjusting to fast-changing clinical scenarios in a dynamic healthcare environment.
• Employ sound clinical judgment and comprehensive patient management skills, leveraging at least three years of Medical Officer experience in relevant settings.
• Apply advanced clinical knowledge gained from postgraduate qualifications or specialty training to handle complex cases.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams using proficient spoken and written English.
• Ensure all clinical practices comply with Singapore Medical Council regulations and maintain current registration status or meet registration requirements.
• Demonstrate adaptability and excellence in clinical performance during evolving protocols and emergency conditions.

Candidate Profile

• Medical qualification of MBBS with significant clinical experience to deliver dependable patient care and make informed decisions enhancing medical standards.
• Postgraduate education such as Master's degrees or specialty training elevates clinical expertise, supporting the hospital in managing complex clinical scenarios and broadening service scope.
• Fulfillment of registration requirements with the Singapore Medical Council and proficiency in English to enable effective communication across diverse patients and international collaborations.
• Capacity for operational resilience and flexibility to sustain consistent service quality even amid emergency or challenging situations.
• Proven ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments, contributing positively to clinical effectiveness and patient satisfaction.

Mandatory Criteria

• At least three years’ experience as a Medical Officer in applicable clinical fields, showcasing clinical skills and patient management competence.
• Eligibility to register and meet all requirements set by the Singapore Medical Council, for both locally and internationally trained doctors.
• Possession of valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification confirming competency in emergency resuscitation procedures.
