Role Overview
The position is a full-time, on-site Reservations Agent at Abbey Hotel Donegal. Responsibilities include managing reservation requests received through phone, email, and online booking platforms, updating the reservation system with accurate booking details, and overseeing room availability and rate confirmations. The role also requires processing booking changes or cancellations, detailing room options, packages, and promotions to guests, and promptly addressing inquiries with friendliness and clarity. Coordination with the front office and other hotel departments is essential to facilitate efficient guest check-in, group reservations, and event support, all while upholding the hotel's high service standards and policies.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact courteously and professionally with guests and team members.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with meticulous attention to detail for accurate data entry in booking platforms.
- Comfortable using basic computer programs and quick to adapt to hotel reservation or property management software.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Ireland, demonstrating shift flexibility, including weekends and public holidays as required in the hospitality sector.
- Previous experience in the hotel, travel, or related customer service industries is a plus.
- Capable of handling guest inquiries, complaints, and last-minute adjustments calmly and efficiently.
- Proficient in English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous for serving international guests.
- Completed secondary education is mandatory; further qualifications in hospitality, tourism, or business fields are beneficial.
