Job description
About the Role
The National University of Singapore's College of Design and Engineering seeks a Research Fellow to join the Industrial Systems Engineering and Management department at its Kent Ridge Campus. Working under the guidance of Dr. Guanyi Wang, the fellow will focus on pioneering algorithm development, establishing strong theoretical foundations, and performing numerical experiments.
Key Research Areas
- Design and analysis of Mixed-Integer Linear and Quadratic Programming models for complex large-scale decision problems
- Exploration of Non-Convex Optimization challenges along with rigorous theoretical investigations
- Applications and theory behind Structured Learning methodologies
Candidate Profile
- Possession of a doctoral degree specializing in Optimization, Operations Research, or closely related disciplines
- Demonstrated expert knowledge and research experience in Mixed-Integer Programming, Nonlinear Optimization, or Structured Learning Theory
- Proven academic publishing track record in leading international journals within optimization is highly desirable
