About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Research Coordinator to join the Research and Graduate Studies department of a prominent academic medical institution based in Dubai. This position involves a blend of administrative coordination along with direct support for clinical research projects. The successful candidate will handle organization of study logistics, documentation, and communications to ensure smooth progression of research studies, working collaboratively with patients, primary investigators, and research teams to uphold regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange and manage scheduling for study visits, team meetings, and participant follow-up appointments.
- Maintain precise records and document management systems related to all study tasks and activities.
- Input and oversee data within electronic data capture platforms and clinical databases.
- Assist with administrative duties involved in preparing Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions, amendments, and regulatory paperwork.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports, correspondence, and documents needed during audits and inspections.
- Help in screening and recruiting study subjects by applying inclusion and exclusion criteria appropriately.
- Facilitate the informed consent process, ensuring participants are fully informed about study protocols and procedures.
Candidate Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in health sciences, nursing, biology, psychology, business administration, or a relevant discipline.
- At least one year of experience in administrative roles, coordination, or within clinical research environments.
- Excellent organizational prowess and documentation abilities, including experience managing schedules, records, and reporting.
- Knowledge of research ethics, regulatory standards, and healthcare compliance processes is desirable.
- Aptitude for interaction with patients and effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
- A master's degree in Public Health, Clinical Research, Healthcare Administration, or similar fields is considered advantageous.
