About Contact Energy and the Role
Contact Energy is a pioneering renewable energy company in New Zealand committed to building a sustainable energy future. Their Renewable Growth team plays a vital role in driving the development of new renewable energy projects to power homes, businesses, and communities, aiming to bolster the country's decarbonisation efforts and energy security.
This position extends beyond traditional project coordination by embedding you in the renewable growth portfolio. You will ensure that stakeholders have timely and accurate information, facilitating smooth project progress. Collaborating closely with Project Managers and the Project Portfolio Management team, your role includes coordinating governance activities, preparing reports and documentation, organizing meetings, and managing project processes that underpin successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain clarity and structure within a dynamic and evolving project environment.
- Prepare governance documentation and coordinate reporting inputs.
- Track action items and maintain comprehensive project records.
- Support new team members by sharing processes and promoting ways of working that contribute to team success.
Candidate Profile and Required Qualifications
You should bring prior experience in project coordination, administration, or support, with strong organizational skills to manage numerous interdependent components. You must be naturally detail-oriented, proactive, and able to communicate effectively through written and verbal channels. Capable of managing documentation and project governance processes professionally and reliably is essential.
Aptitude in managing activities across diverse stakeholders and a high level of integrity are imperative. Experience with project management frameworks and tools such as SAP, Psoda, or Aconex is advantageous but not mandatory. More importantly, you must demonstrate adaptability, a willingness to learn, and be comfortable organizing complexity into order.

- This is a parental leave cover arrangement lasting until June 2027.
- Preference for candidates located in Wellington or near Renewable Growth hubs in Wairakei or Auckland.
