Role Overview
The Remote Operations Professional supports completions operations via onshore remote operation centers, ensuring strict compliance with customer contract requirements by following the Managing the Job Cycle process. Acting as the main communication liaison, this role monitors tool performance, shares job updates, provides real-time work directions to the regional and field teams, oversees operational steps, and delivers technical support before and after operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to Manage the Job Cycle (eMtJC) processes to ensure compliance.
- Guide and coordinate well site activities remotely in real-time from the hub location.
- Execute the operational plan aligning with the approved program.
- Communicate operational decisions and updates from the well site to all stakeholders.
- Collaborate with responsible contacts to determine necessary actions.
- Ensure effective connection with Product Line and Asset Management Office (AMO) support when needed.
- Conduct operations in compliance with company health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Coordinate job timing and participate in pre-job planning and meetings.
- Review operational procedures and simulations prior to job execution.
- Manage real-time data monitoring during job execution.
- Continuously oversee job progress at well-site before execution.
- Analyze daily field reports and obtain status updates from customers or operations teams.
- Identify and address potential issues or escalate as required.
- Participate in morning operator meetings whenever possible.
- Handle technical issue calls from well sites.
- Maintain regular communication with operations coordinators.
- Prepare post-job reports summarizing job details for customer delivery.
- Document lessons learned and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support peer reviews of critical job designs per sub-product line requirements.
- Provide support throughout operational readiness and execution phases of job cycles.
- Assist in reliability and service delivery by participating in incident investigations and implementing root cause analyses and corrective actions.
- Be available for 24/7 support, especially during critical operations.
- Perform other reasonable business tasks as required.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, or equivalent industry experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities and focus on achieving results.
- Proficiency in software applications for remote monitoring and support.
- Prior field experience within the relevant product line.
- Ability to build strong networks and communicate effectively across business units.
- Willingness and courage to halt operations when unsafe conditions arise.
- Strong multitasking capabilities while handling technical equipment and IT systems.
- Motivation to learn new technical skills related to digital oilfield operations and data transmission protocols.
- Capability to perform well under pressure in fast-paced environments requiring rapid problem resolution.
