About the Role
Are you interested in overseeing machine operations and ready for a new challenge as a Machinist? Join our Oilfield Services Team as we assemble and test the latest oilfield equipment products, collaborating closely with experts across science, mechanical and electrical engineering, physics, and geoscience to develop leading-edge completion tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Setup and operate special purpose equipment, conventional machines such as lathe and mill, as well as numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers.
- Fabricate metallic and nonmetallic components adhering to stringent quality standards expected in precision machining.
- Interpret blueprints, safety procedures, operating manuals, and procedural guidelines effectively.
- Apply working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) in fabrication processes.
- Use fundamental algebra and geometry to calculate and adjust machining parameters including speed, feed, coolant flow, depth, and cutting angles.
- Manage computerized machine control inputs and edits to ensure precise machining operations.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of one year of relevant machining experience.
- Capable of selecting, aligning, and securing fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials properly on various machines.
- Demonstrate intermediate skills in operating manual lathes, including handling part indication, turning outside diameters (OD), and qualifying inside diameters (ID).
- Understand and apply basic principles of algebra and geometry to the machining activities.
- Possess basic proficiency in communicating in English.
