Relief Pharmacy Technician

Role Overview

We are looking to appoint a Relief Pharmacy Technician to join the team at our Clonmel store. This permanent position involves working 40 hours per week, with the store operating from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and shorter hours on Sundays. The team includes a Supervising Pharmacist, Retail Store Manager, Relief Pharmacists, Technicians, and Sales Assistants in a store managing a range of items and services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain high accuracy and keen attention to detail in all tasks
• Assist in preparing and dispensing medications under Pharmacist supervision, demonstrating professionalism and care
• Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and ordering medicines as needed
• Prepare blister packs and handle claim processing and tracking
• Provide robust support to the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary environment

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a busy dispensary environment is preferred but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply
• Familiarity with McLernons MPS software is advantageous
• Qualifications such as IPU Pharmacy Technician course or a Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies are beneficial
