Job description
Position Overview
We are looking for a strategic and technically adept Reliability Director to spearhead our organization's efforts in enhancing reliability, asset performance, maintenance optimization, and operational improvements. This role is pivotal in setting and achieving reliability goals, boosting asset management processes, minimizing operational risks, and augmenting equipment availability, maintainability, and lifecycle efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage enterprise-wide reliability programs and asset performance strategies.
- Define and enforce reliability standards and lead continuous improvement projects.
- Analyze equipment and process performance metrics, evaluate failure patterns, and establish key reliability indicators.
- Conduct root cause analyses to pinpoint avenues for long-term enhancement.
- Direct preventive, predictive, condition-based maintenance approaches along with criticality assessments and reliability-centered maintenance efforts.
- Work collaboratively with various departments such as engineering, operations, maintenance, quality, procurement, and safety to ensure alignment between reliability and business goals.
- Manage reliability reporting, create performance dashboards, carry out technical evaluations, risk assessments, and develop improvement plans.
- Evaluate asset lifecycle expenditures, contribute to capital investment assessments, review equipment specifications, and identify ways to decrease downtime, maintenance expenses, failures, and operational hazards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Reliability, or Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- Deep expertise in reliability engineering, asset management, maintenance strategies, and operational risk mitigation.
- Proficient with preventive, predictive, condition-based, and reliability-centered maintenance techniques.
- Skilled in Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, criticality assessments, and methods for reliability improvements.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision making.
- Capability to interpret and assess equipment performance data, reliability metrics, maintenance trends, and lifecycle costs.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), asset performance management, and reliability analytics software.
- Comprehensive knowledge of engineering standards, safety protocols, and asset management frameworks.
- Effective leadership, strategic planning, project management, and stakeholder coordination abilities.
- Experienced in guiding cross-functional teams and implementing organization-wide reliability initiatives.
- Excellent communication and presentation aptitude, able to convey complex technical details clearly.
- Strong commercial insight, connecting reliability advancements to operational and financial goals.
- Highly professional, proactive, accountable, with a commitment to safety, continuous progress, and sustainable asset performance.
