Job description
About the Role
We are seeking a proficient engineer experienced in Relay Configuration, BCU Programming, and SCADA system integration, specifically utilizing devices from leading manufacturers such as Schneider, GE, Siemens, ABB, and SEL. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing protective relay schemes and cooperating closely with substation and SCADA teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement protective relay schemes to ensure system reliability and safety.
- Coordinate efforts with substation and SCADA technical groups.
- Configure Protection Relays and BCUs from Schneider, GE, and ABB.
- Develop relay logic, adjust settings, and conduct testing for various protection functions like Overcurrent (O/C), Earth Fault (E/F), Differential (Diff), Distance (Dist), Breaker Failure Protection (BFP), and Auto Reclosing (A/R).
- Manage SCADA integration protocols including IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3, and IEC 104.
- Perform diagnostic relay testing using tools such as Omicron and Doble, and provide support during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- At least two years of practical experience configuring relays and Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs).
- Working knowledge of software tools such as DIGSI, PCM600, EnerVista, SFT2841, and MiCOM S1.
