Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Perform full vehicle crash analysis simulations involving frontal, side, rear impacts at various speeds, including high and slow speed conditions.
- Conduct structural simulations focusing on pedestrian safety impacts to the head, lower leg, and upper leg.
- Execute occupant safety analyses for frontal, side, and rear impacts with sled test ECER-21 scenarios.
- Develop calibration load cases for frontal and side crashes across different speeds.
- Address convergence challenges and interpret simulation results accurately to validate findings.
- Identify issue resolutions, performance attributes, and design enablers relevant to crash safety disciplines.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams as well as work independently to meet project milestones under a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills and Technical Expertise
- Advanced proficiency using CAE tools including ANSA, LS-DYNA, Primer, Animator, and MetaPost.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, compliance requirements, and the transition from internal combustion engines (ICE) to battery electric vehicles (BEVs), specifically relating to battery platform changes and corresponding CAE attributes.
- Analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills are essential.
Eligibility and Qualifications
Applicants must hold a B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience in full vehicle crash analysis.
