Embark on a rewarding journey as a Relationship Manager in the Personal Banking sector with Singapore's premier bank. This entry-level sales role focuses on building wealth management expertise within consumer banking, offering structured training, a stable income, and unlimited earning potential right from the start. This is a target-driven sales role involving direct client engagement to assess financial needs and meet monthly performance goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and convert client financial needs into sales opportunities.
- Advocate wealth protection and investment products suited to client profiles.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to achieve monthly revenue targets and KPIs.
- Engage clients through bank-provided tele-prospecting leads, branch walk-ins, and uncovering further needs during client interactions.
Note: There is no requirement for contacting family/friends, door-to-door canvassing, event roadshows, random prospecting, or lead purchasing.
Training and Career Development
- Participate in an intensive three-week classroom training followed by 8–12 weeks of on-the-job mentorship.
- Complete CMFAS certification with provided reimbursement and ongoing guidance.
- Opportunities for rapid career progression into affluent banking segments or team leadership roles within 2–5 years, depending on performance.
Compensation and Benefits
- Receive paid training from day one.
- Enjoy a fixed base salary plus monthly allowances and uncapped monthly incentives based on sales achievements, all CPF-contributable.
- Typical first-year earnings range between SGD 70,000 and SGD 100,000+, with entry-level basic pay between SGD 3,600 and SGD 3,800 plus SGD 300 allowance, and higher packages for experienced candidates including sign-on bonuses.
- Average personal bankers earn monthly salaries of SGD 6,000 to SGD 8,000, with top performers exceeding SGD 10,000.
- Additional perks include overseas incentive travel, annual leave, wellness programs, staff banking privileges, and performance awards.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be Singaporean citizens or Permanent Residents.
- Possess a local diploma or degree recognized by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). Eligible diplomas include full-time private diplomas from institutions like SIMGE, NAFA, or Laselle; many part-time private diplomas may not qualify.
- Must be willing to engage in outbound calling, manage rejection professionally, and consistently pursue monthly targets.
- CMFAS certification is required before starting, with reimbursement and support provided.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Individuals aiming for a career in sales within banking, not customer service or back-office roles.
- Comfortable with frequent client interactions and driven by performance-based incentives.
- Resilient in handling rejection while maintaining perseverance to meet monthly KPIs.
- Ambitious for clear career growth into affluent client segments and management.
