Job Overview

The Relationship Manager is responsible for managing the entire client lifecycle, starting from the transfer of prospects by Marketing to account opening, funding, trading, and ongoing client service including retention and reactivation. This role acts as the main contact point for a portfolio of retail trading clients, aiming to maximize their long-term value while adhering strictly to regulatory and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily sales funnel activities, swiftly address client issues, implement service recovery, monitor satisfaction levels, and work to improve Net Promoter Scores.
  • Identify opportunities and suggest improvements to boost sales efficiency, resilience, and service quality.
  • Maintain and grow client portfolios by ensuring satisfaction with financial products and services provided.
  • Meet key performance indicators such as sales conversion rates, initial deposits, introductory communications, client base value, and referrals.
  • Guide clients through tailored educational programs based on their trading experience and needs, including hosting seminars and webinars.
  • Collaborate with external educators and trainers to enhance client education.
  • Organize and oversee premium client events including roadshows, investment fairs, conferences, and seminars, to foster client engagement and generate referrals.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Compliance, and Client Service teams to align operational strategy and maintain service standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or degree holder in any field.
  • Compliant with MAS Fit and Proper Criteria including integrity, competence, and regulatory reputation.
  • Eligible to be appointed as a Representative under the CMS License, fulfilling academic and examination requirements.
  • Sound knowledge of MAS regulations relevant to retail financial products and services.
  • Minimum three years' experience in financial services operations within MAS-regulated firms, ideally with securities, OTC derivatives, collective investment schemes, and knock-out options.
  • Experience in retail investments, trading, or retail financial services is essential.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, effective problem-solving, and proficient stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proven record in managing client complaints with high ethical standards, integrity, and transparency.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to a dynamic environment.
  • Preferably experienced in fintech, brokerage, asset management, or capital markets.
  • Familiarity with CRM and enterprise workflow tools.
  • Demonstrated success building and sustaining client relationships and prior client servicing experience.
