Role Overview
The Relationship Associate in the Business Division supports Relationship Managers by simplifying banking for customers and providing insightful financial solutions. This includes conducting financial analysis, lending assistance, and administrative support for specific customer groups. This permanent full-time position is based in Timaru or Ashburton, New Zealand, with a weekly workload of 37.5 hours and is ideal for emerging professionals aspiring to eventually take on Relationship Management roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain comprehensive understanding of customer portfolios encompassing financial outcomes, goals, challenges, and value propositions.
- Elevate the Bank's presence by demonstrating knowledge of customer industries and market dynamics.
- Foster collaborative relationships within ANZ and across the Business Division.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Senior Managers, and product teams to devise appropriate customer solutions and address concerns.
- Uphold compliance standards and operational excellence within the Bank.
- Perform financial analysis and interpret customer data to support sound credit decisions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of credit policies and lending requirements.
Candidate Profile
- Solid financial literacy combined with analytical capabilities, commercial insight, and business awareness.
- Strong aptitude for analyzing financial patterns and implications.
- Experience in building strong customer relationships within delivery or service roles.
- Understanding of security arrangement structures.
- Banking industry experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Preferably holds a degree in accounting, finance, or related disciplines, though this is not strictly required.
