Regulatory Reporting and Controls Specialist

Overview

This role entails managing regulatory reporting and controls within a global banking environment focused on Capital Markets and Corporate Lending, based in Dublin. The candidate will ensure compliance and accuracy in data flows aligned with evolving regulatory requirements chief among these are COREP, FINREP, and Statistical Returns, with a particular emphasis on controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and validate regulatory reports ensuring they meet compliance standards across Corep, FinRep, statistical returns, with a focus on control processes.
• Oversee and improve control frameworks to limit risks in reporting activities.
• Work cross-functionally to respond to regulatory changes and requirements.
• Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to assist regulatory submissions and support business goals.
• Stay abreast of current regulatory rules and industry standards.
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and enhance efficiency.
• Provide documentation and insights during audits and regulatory examinations.
• Contribute to the formulation of policies and procedures regarding regulatory reporting and controls.

Candidate Profile

• Professional experience in regulatory reporting with a strong emphasis on controls within mid to large banking institutions; alternatively, experience as a manager or senior manager auditor in banking, ideally from Big 4 or significant practices, bringing a control-oriented perspective.
• Sound knowledge of regulatory reporting frameworks and interest or exposure to regulatory requirements from a practice perspective.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience collaborating with compliance and risk management tools and systems.
• Detail-driven and able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for team collaboration.
• Relevant accounting or finance professional qualifications.
