Role Overview

The Regulatory Compliance Manager is a vital member of the Regulatory Compliance team, supporting the Group's lottery and commercial gaming operations. This position is mainly accountable for preparing comprehensive regulatory submissions, managing engagement with regulatory bodies, and offering pragmatic regulatory guidance to facilitate business projects.

Key Duties

• Coordinate and lead the preparation of regulatory submissions to the Gambling and Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), including product approvals, internal controls updates, waiver requests, and formal notifications.
• Engage directly with GCGRA on submissions, inquiries, approvals, and respond to information requests to support regulatory discussions.
• Manage regulatory timelines, dependencies, and maintain precise submission documentation.
• Offer actionable regulatory advice to aid product development, technological changes, and commercial ventures, ensuring compliance and identifying approval requirements early in project lifecycles.
• Translate regulatory stipulations into clear guidance for Product, Technology, Operations, and Commercial teams, escalating any significant regulatory risks as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary regulatory liaison for the Commercial Gaming department, collaborating cross-functionally to guarantee regulatory compliance in all initiatives.
• Support regulatory governance activities such as reporting, Board-level updates, policy and procedure reviews, as well as investigations into regulatory incidents or possible compliance breaches.
• Continuously track regulatory actions, commitments, and supervisory items to completion.
• Perform horizon scanning to assess new regulatory developments and their potential business impact.
• Maintain and improve Regulatory Compliance team processes, templates, standards, and compliance systems to enhance team effectiveness.
• Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

• At least 5 years’ experience in regulatory compliance or advisory roles.
• Deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks, with proven ability to interpret and apply them in commercial environments.
• Demonstrated expertise managing complex regulatory approval processes from start to finish.
• Skill in drafting well-structured regulatory advice aligned with business needs.
• Proficient in understanding and implementing legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with confident communication, both verbal and written, including the preparation of clear and compelling submissions.
• Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple deadlines efficiently.
• Experience within gaming, lottery, financial services, or related regulated sectors is advantageous.
• Preferably holds a degree in Business, Risk Management, Law, or a related field.
