About the Role
Join Early Start Australia to become part of a closely-knit allied health team dedicated to supporting children, young people, and their families. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough new client assessments using referrals and standardized or informal tools such as WPPSI, WISC, WRAT, WRAML, ADOS, and MIGDAS.
- Provide prompt feedback to clients and their families, confirming therapy requirements and issuing detailed reports within two weeks.
- Deliver comprehensive, client-focused assessment, counseling, and therapeutic services across clinic, home, school, and community settings.
- Manage and maintain caseloads including clients with complex needs, developing individualized therapy plans and updating them based on client progress.
- Collaborate with allied health professionals to design specialized programs and uphold privacy, confidentiality, and evidence-based practices.
- Complete clinical documentation within 24 hours and provide compliant reports to all relevant stakeholders and funding bodies.
- Ensure therapy aligns with funding guidelines such as NDIS; participate in supervision, professional development, and comply with all regulatory standards and safety requirements.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in solution-focused therapy and early intervention, with the ability to tailor services to individual needs.
- Exceptional skills engaging diverse children, families, and external parties, combined with strong communication, organizational, observational, and report-writing abilities.
- Competence in working both autonomously in community settings and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Psychology qualification with current registration through AHPRA and the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Possession of NDIS Workers Screening Check, valid driver’s license and vehicle, current Working with Children or Vulnerable People Check specific to state, national police check, and accredited First Aid certification.
